Delete Your AHBA Account
At AHBA, we respect your privacy and your right to control your personal information. If you wish to delete your AHBA account and associated personal information, you may submit an account deletion request using the contact information below.
How to Request Account Deletion
To request deletion of your AHBA account, please contact us by email at hello@ahba.com or call 855-242-2999 (855-AHBA-999).
Please include the following information in your request:
- Full Name
- Email Address associated with your account
- Phone Number (if applicable)
- A statement requesting account deletion
To protect your privacy and security, AHBA may request additional information to verify your identity before processing your request.
Processing Time
After your identity has been successfully verified, AHBA will process your account deletion request within 30 days, unless a longer retention period is required by applicable law or regulatory obligations.
Information That Will Be Deleted
When your request is approved, AHBA will delete or permanently de-identify personal information associated with your account where permitted by law, including:
- Account profile information
- Contact information
- Account credentials
- Membership information
- Appointment scheduling information
- Account preferences
- Customer service communications
- Information submitted through forms, surveys, or questionnaires
- Other personal information that is no longer required for legal or operational purposes
Information That May Be Retained
As a healthcare provider, AHBA is legally required to retain certain information even after an account deletion request has been completed. This may include:
- Medical records and Protected Health Information (PHI), where required by applicable healthcare laws
- Prescription and treatment records
- Billing and payment records
- Insurance-related information
- Records required for legal, regulatory, tax, fraud prevention, security, or compliance purposes
Any retained information will continue to be safeguarded in accordance with applicable federal and state laws, including HIPAA where applicable.
Deleting your online account does not automatically remove medical records that AHBA is legally required to maintain.
